2016 Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week

Dear Community Coach,

Northern NSW Football is pleased to provide the latest Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week video. Each instalment in a series of short videos is aimed at assisting community coaches like yourself to plan and implement safe, fun and age appropriate coaching sessions for their players.

Northern NSW Football understands that the vast majority of community football coaches are volunteers with limited time available to devote to the planning of training sessions for their players.

We also understand that while over 700 community coaches will participate in formal coaching courses in 2015 that more assistance is required on an ongoing basis to ensure that team training sessions continue to be varied, appropriate and most importantly of all, FUN!.

Each session will focus on one of the four functional game skills of running with the ball, striking the ball, first touch and 1 v 1, with each Newcastle Permanent Skill of the Week video being broken down into 3 training activities:

1. Beginning Part
2. Middle Part
3. End Game

A new session will be distributed each week to all registered community coaches to assist them deliver the best football experience possible to their players.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
