Coaching courses - enroling now
Capital Football has a range of coaching courses before the winter season commences. If you are just starting out coaching your U5/6 year old or you wish to progress to the next level as the team acquires their football skills progressing to the tactical game phase of the 11v11 full field game, there are plenty of courses available.
Click the links below to register or enrol in the course. Please retain your tax invoice as the club will reimburse the cost of the course to the coach after the coach has successfully completed the course
Grassroots certificate - this free course is suitable for beginner coaches starting out coaching the U6-U9 age groups. The course at Waramanga on Sunday 17th May2015 will be delivered by our coaching coordinator - Mr Richard "keeper's ball!!" Jalland.

Skill training certificate - This course is aimed at coaches of players aged 9-13 years of age and are in the 'Skill Acquisition Phase.' The course will focus on applying the 4 core skills within a structured training session. The course duration is 14 hours split across two weekends. Cost is $125

Game training certificate - This course is aimed at coaches of players aged 13-17 years of age who are in the 'Game Training Phase.' Coaches will acquire the knowledge and competencies to plan, organise and deliver practices in a 'team setting. The course duration is 14 hours delivered in 4 x 3.5hr afternoon sessions across three weekends. Cost is $125

Senior coaching certificate - This course is aimed at coaches of players aged 17 years of age who are in the 'Performance Phase' The Senior Coaching course is for those coaches who seek the knowledge and competency to analyse, define and design sessions to improve/develop Performance. The course duration is 14 hours delivered in 4 x 3.5hr afternoon sessions across three weekends. Cost is $125

Goalkeeping Certificate - The Goalkeeping certificate is a practical course which is an introduction to goalkeeper coaching. This is a pre-requisite to attending the Goalkeeping Licence course and topics cover goalkeeper specific warm-up, goalkeeping coordination, set position, handling techniques, distribution, passing and receiving and positional awareness. The course is delivered in 2 x 3.5hr sessions in the evening. Cost is $85. Date TBC. Please email coaching_coordinator@wmfc.org.au to register your interest.
