One of the things that has been mentioned to the committee is that we need better communication.

We have the website for detailed news and events, we have the newsletter for emailing out to groups and we have Facebook to share images and news.

What we did not have was a method to get messages out to people at short notice such as ground closures.

We also are not able to easily send targeted messages to teams and groups within the club.

We have decided to get on board with a smartphone app called TeamApp.

The big advantage this gives is that not only does it allow messages to be sent from the club to members it also allows coaches and managers to communicate with their teams. No more email chains to manage your team.

All messages are pushed to the app using only your data connection and can be sent with an optional email.

There are also chat rooms that can be limited to groups or everyone.

It is currently available for IOS and Android with a Windows Mobile version on the way.

No smartphone? Simply use the website.

An invite to join up will be emailed to everyone in the next couple of weeks but it is ready for you to sign up at any time.

A brochure with more info including how to sign up is available in a link below.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
