Plenty of firsts as Zebras comfortably beat Kingston City

Moreland Zebras comfortably beat Kingston City 4-0 in their first home game of the NPL1 season at De Chene Reserve on Sunday afternoon.

Central Defender Adam Centofanti got the scoring underway on just seven minutes with a lovely volley to score his first for the club.

The firsts continued as Evan Batsis too opened his Zebras account with the second of the afternoon firing into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

After the break, with a 2-0 lead, Joel Nikolic added the third tapping home with easiest of finishes.

Like Batsis and Centofanti, Jack Turner finished the scoring with his first for the Club slotting into the empty net in just his third game for the Club.

In the under 20s Moreland ran out 5-1 victors thanks to goals from Nick Kalambokis, Chris Triantos, Luke Colaianni, Michael Mazza and Dean Pavlovski in a dominant performance.

Next weekend the Zebras travel to Bendigo to face FC Bendigo with the under 20s kicking off at 5pm before the seniors get underway at 7pm.
