Club expectations from parents, players and supporters

The Philosophy of our Club:

The administrators, officials and team members of KFJSC, commit to the idea of sport as a method of community and individual development through participation.

We will field teams, officials and administrators whose emphasis is on participation,
competitiveness with honour, excellence, fair play and mutual respect.

Our aim is to create an inclusive environment of fun and teamwork where kids improve their skills on the field, and where we aspire through team sport to equip them with experiences that they can take into life.

The Kensington Junior Girls SC fully supports the codes of conduct as introduced by the Football Federation of Australia

Coaches Code of Conduct:
Coaches are required to sign the Code of Conduct and to fulfill requirements for accreditation.

KJGSC Parent and Supporter’s Officials Code of Conduct:
• Remember that you are there for the participants to enjoy the game;
• Encourage participation, but don’t force it;
• Teach that enjoyment is more important than winning;
• Never ridicule mistakes or losses – supporters are there to support not downgrade;
• Lead by example and respect all players, coaches, referees and spectators – physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated;
• Recognise all volunteers who are giving up their valuable time; and
• Never publicly criticise referees – please raise any concerns you have with club officials in private.

KJGSC Player’s Code of Conduct:
• Play by the rules – and the laws of the game;
• Never argue with an referee or other game official – without these people, you can’t play;
• Control your temper - verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players doesn’t help you enjoy or win any games;
• Be a team player – It’s a team game, treat it that way;
• Treat all players as you would like to be treated – fairly;
• Co-operate with your coach, the referees and your team-mates;
• Play for your own enjoyment & to improve your skills and
• Don’t use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability – you’ll let down your coach, teammates and family if you do (many such comments are actually now illegal).

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
