On Saturday we travelled up to Port Macquarie for our second trial in 2 wks.
For those who played against Mac Uni, it was a chance to continue to get some hardened practise under game conditions whilst others played their first for the year and will be better off for the run in readiness for our Intra Club this weekend.
Plenty of pleasing passages of play with our new game plan and definitely some glowing signs that the boys are working hard to adapt to change. I spoke to them about this taking some time to bed this down but if we can continue to improve on it throughout the season, we will win more games than we lose.
For those who have had a late start to pre-season, there is still some way to go but premierships are not won in March.
Corbin Bond and Coggo returned after both having the year off last year and showed that they will add some needed depth through the midfield, Hugh Wells was consistent all day and Shack produced plenty of positive signs as always.
