The Bombers have been without a win for two weeks now after tough games against the cream of the competition, Terrigal Avoca & Newcastle City. The Bombers used a get of Jail card in their round 1 clash against Warners Bay, and know they wont be so lucky this time if they aren’t firing on all cylinders from the first bounce.
The Bombers will travel to Seaman Oval for the Round 7 fixture, needing a win to stay with the competition front runners. Coach John Pidgeon will be busy at training all week, ironing out the issues that have seen his side drop from competition leaders to 3rd place following successive losses. Micheal Besley had an unsually quiet game against the Panthers and could prove to be the difference if he can turn it this weekend. With Nathan Hormann moving deeper forward, the Warners Bay backline will need to be wary of the feral cat after his goal sneaking efforts so far this season. Round 7 could see the return of key players Hugh Wells, Jordan Evans and Peter Collins after injury long term layoffs, who will add an extra dimension to the side.
First Division action will also see the Bombers taking on Warners Bay, looking reverse their fortunes after their round 1 loss. The Bombers will be looking to notch up their maiden win of the year, they will need to channel the qualities of the mountain goat to climb out of the slump they find themselves in . Warners Bay have only the one win this year, so this will be the Bombers best chance of singing their team song this year.
