Killarney Vale midfielder, Ryan Coughlan is the BDAFL Rising Star nominee for Round 13.
Ryan Coughlan has returned from his gap year with great intensity that has seen him become a key figure in Killarney Vale’s bid for a second BDAFL title. Coughlan made his first grade debut as a 17 year old in 2011. A natural footballer, Coughlan had an immediate impact in the senior squad. Coughlan spent 2012 travelling the globe, but has added another dimension to the Bombers attack in 2013 with his endeavour and effort around the ground.
Ryan’s junior career started when he was 13 years old at the Saratoga Hawks, where he became a permanent member of the Northern Heat Representative program for his entire junior career. He comes from an excellent talent pool, seeing him graduate to senior football with the like of Max Mumford, Tom Cass & Travis Thone-Kain. Coughlan is a man who has a never say die attitude. He is genuine leader of this youthful Bombers outfit, and has not only earned the praises coach John Pidgeon but also his senior team mates.
