The Bombers showed their best form of 2013 last weekend with a massive 112 point victory over traditional powerhouses Cardiff. The script couldn’t have gone any better for the Bombers, with Skipper Brendan Lewis kicking the first and last goals of the game in front of the healthy home crowd celebrating the clubs 35th Anniversary celebration and Past Players Day.
The Bombers are looking to have hit peak form two weeks out from finals, and will be looking for victory against local rivals Terrgial-Avoca. The Bombers have gone down in their two previous hit outs with the Panthers, however the margin was significantly reduced the second time the side met and the Bombers have improved immensely since then. This will one will surely go down to the wire. John Pidgeon will again turn to his big game specialist Micheal Besley to provide some much needed muscle around the ground.
First Division action will also see the Bombers taking on the Panthers, and the Bombers will be full of confidence after their first win of the year against the Hawks last week. The last time these two side met the Bombers let the Panthers take control in the second and third quarters of the match. The Bombers know what’s needed to get the better of their rivals, and will need to be at their best for 4 quarters to get on top and finish the season off strong.
