Queensland Girls Academy selection for Taivia

A massive congratulations to Taivia Dunne who has been selected in the level 1 (14-16 yr old) Qld Girls Youth Academy squad, following the recent State Championships in Brisbane.

Other Capricornia girls to gain selection were Hannah Davidson, Taneil Bruton & Tashina Ketchup who have been selected in the level 2 (17-18yr old) youth girls state academy squad.more

That time when all our Leagues 7-9-11s come together for a morning of footy action has almost arrived, with the Cluster Day scheduled for Sunday, 3rd August 2014. Parents, be sure to get around Coach Dan Yasso to assist where you can, as managing a number of junior teams can be a handful, to say the least. In the past, its been good to get there about 8:45am.more

Former Rooboy makes 2014 AFLQ Queensland Under 16 State Team

A huge congratulations on behalf of Brothers FC to Connor West for his recent selection in the AFLQ Queensland Under 16 representative squad over the weekend, as well as taking out MVP at the States.
Until recently, a member of our U17s, Connor has taken some huge leaps with his footy since moving south to join the Gold Coast Suns Academy and GC Suns NEAFL/Reserves squad. Good luck at the Nats!more

Representative football - Under 15 Schoolboys State Championships

Congratulations to our Under 15 lads, Isaac Smithwick and Jarrod Donovan, who both represented the Under 15 Capricornia Schoolboys side at the State Championships at Morningside, Brisbane, last week.

In what was a very competitive affair featuring very strong Metro and Coast sides, Isaac and Jarrod acquitted themselves in excellent style.

The Club's Future stars, our 7-9-11s, are finally on the paddock with the first round last Friday evening at the Rockhampton Cricket Ground. Queensland U16 Schoolgirl's Rep

Congratulations to Taivia Dunne for her selection in the inaugural Queensland Under 16 Schoolgirls Squad, following the State Championships at Maroochydore.
A fantastic effort by her, and also by Brother's U13s team mate, Chelsea Carroll, who made the Capricornia Under 16s Squad, too. The work ethic of both these girls is apparent in their club games for the 13s.

This day is an annual event dedicated to the memory of Tony Clifford, a founder and staunch supporter of the club in it's formative years. It presents an opportunity to remember Tony and significant others who have been integral to our club over the years and have now passed on. A small remembrance ceremony is held immediately prior to the A grade match, at which the names are read.more

A Rooboy makes Queensland Country squad

Congratulations to James Richardson, who was selected in the Queensland Country squad at the 12 Years Schoolboys Australian Football State C'ships at Maroochydore. The country boys went down to the Metro team by 15 points in very wet conditions on Wednesday afternoon (12 June).more

Roos player selected for North Queensland U16 Squad

Selectors have named a 25-man Country Kookaburras squad based on performances at this weekend's North Queensland Under 16 Championships at Airlie Beach. Brothers U17 player, Connor West, was one of three Capricornia rep players selected.

The 2013 Pre-Season Parent & Player Evening will be on Tuesday, 9th April 2013, commencing 5.30pm.
This is the last Tuesday training session prior to fixtures commencing on Saturday, 13th April (and, Friday evening, 12th Apr for the 7-9-11s).

The NEW date for the Rockhampton District under 15 Australian Football trials is the Wednesday, 6th of March.

The venue is North Rockhamtpon High School from 9am until 11am.

12 Years Schoolboys is also on 6th March at Glenmore State School (back oval off McLaughlin St) between 4pm-5:30pm.

Tue 5th Mar. - training CANCELLED for 7-9-11s & Under 13-15-17s!

An early decision has been taken by the Club to cancel training for all juniors and youth grades, given the amount of rain over the weekend, and forecast rain/storms til Tuesday.

An assessment will be made for Thursday training for the 13-15-17s mid-week.more

Friday Night footy

A start date for the Under 7-9-11 age groups has been set for FRIDAY, 12th APRIL 2013.
All junior fixtures are held at the Rockhampton Cricket Ground. Under 7 & 9 start about 18:00, with the 11s starting about 19:15.... but, be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early so the coaches/team managers can finalise team sheets and guernseys.more
