In wet muddy conditions at Benalla Showgrounds an injury hit Giants took on Bulldogs in the second derby match between the two Benalla sides. Bulldogs started strongly with two quick goals. Jack Spinks was in everything for Bulldogs and continually drove the ball forward. Cooper McCoy was doing a good job for Giants containing Marcus Obrien, Giants fought back in the second quarter with three goals to Nathan Hill (2) and wade King. The Bulldogs drew away in the third quarter due to two strong marks and goals by Austin Thompson for the Bulldogs,. Giants battled the game out but were unable to bridge the gap. Jack Spinks was outstanding for Bulldogs along with Kaiden Skelton, Zeb Griffen and Braden Wann. Cooper McCoy, Sam Newton Nathan Hill and Jamie Dunne were best for Giants.

In heavy conditions the Bulldogs led at every change to win by 19 points. Jack spinks was hard working in the midfield, while Kaiden Skelton Braden Wann and Blake Uebergang continued their good recent form when challenged.
