Congratulations to Bill Latham's Spanish team, Andalucia, which has made it into the European Champions Cup 2009 after winning their qualifying group tournament in Italy last week. Bill played great and won the Top Scorer trophy. All 3 games can be watched online.

The Spirit have continued to dominate the opposition after 6 rounds of the 4 on 4 competition. Except for a tight loss to Threesome on 10th March, 4-Play are beating everyone else to hold down second place.

WheelKings guard Shannon Dallas is in rehab following a full shoulder reconstruction earlier this week. He suffered a terrible high-speed fall in the Downhill when just 100 metres from securing his second title at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships in Korea.

With 4 rounds now completed, here's the results to date and the points table. Spirit are undefeated and newcomers MDS are building towards their first win. Everyone else is swimming in the middle but Stud Muffins and 4-play look like they'll be in an ongoing battle for 2nd place.

Hi Guys, since my last letter we have played 4 games against Toledo, Barcelona, Bilbao and Peinsa. We had mixed results 2-2. The two losses were to Barcelona and Bilbao. I had Valentine weekend off and spent the weekend in Puerto Banus with my girlfriend, Sandra.

The Tuesday 4 on 4 development competition kicked off last night with 3 trial games at St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill. 30 players were there to participate in what is destined to be an enjoyable fitness and development opportunity leading into the 2009 NWBL season.

After suffering a broken arm in a freak accident just prior to Christmas, and the doctors saying he may be out of action for 8 or 9 months, it now looks like WheelKings forward Gaetano Bagnato will be back training with the team as soon as April.

Congratulations to WheelKings committee member Donna McIntyre and star WheelKings centre Jeremy Van Asperen on their recent marriage. Their relationship had been a happy work in progress for 5 years and it was great to see them finally tie the knot.
