Big Bill is back!

WheelKings and Australian Gliders guard Tina McKenzie celebrated her 100th game for the national team with a win over Canada in the bronze medal game at the Joseph F. Lyttle World Basketball Challenge.

Wenty lose to Hawks - Tristan Knowles Dominates

Wollongong HighLube Roller Hawks today defeated Wenty 101-87 on the strength of an outstanding performance by Australian representative Tristan Knowles. He amassed 47 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in a totally dominant display.

Wenty Leagues WheelKings had a disappointing outing against the West Sydney Razorbacks this afternoon, suffering a 35 point loss. They now face the Roller Hawks tomorrow morning who are fresh from beating the Razorbacks by 22 on Friday night!

Sunday, 25th May - WheelKings 96 defeat Adelaide Thunder 33 at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre

In their second match of the weekend, the Wenty Leagues WheelKings dominated the Mortgage Choice Adelaide Thunder. The previous day's loss to the Razorbacks was forgotten as the WheelKings took charge from the opening tip.

The Wenty Leagues WheelKings opened their 2008 NWBL campaign on Saturday with a narrow loss to the West Sydney Razorbacks. However, the closeness of the final margin hides the tremendous effort of the WheelKings in fighting back from a 20 point first quarter deficit.

Bill Latham's notes from Spain

Well the last few weeks have been busy as usual. The normal 4-5 o’clock siesta and then training every day. We've still been playing well and have been successful in the league. We are currently 16-2 and we came second in the Copa del Rey (Cup of the Kings). This is the top eight teams in the Spanish league.
