Wenty Leagues has produced a solid 86-70 win tonight over 4th-placed Dandenong Rangers. The Big 3 of Jansens, Van Asperen and Latham combined for 76 points and 37 rebounds in their first outing together.

WheelKings star youngster Bill Latham is back in Australia after playing professionally in Spain and finishing off his overseas stint with the Australian Rollers in Germany.

WheelKings and Australian Gliders guard Tina McKenzie celebrated her 100th game for the national team with a win over Canada in the bronze medal game at the Joseph F. Lyttle World Basketball Challenge.

Wenty's Liesl Tesch added yet again to her reputation as one of the world's top players with her excellent performances for the Australian Gliders in the finals of the 2008 Joseph F. Lyttle World Basketball Challenge in Georgia, USA.

Wollongong HighLube Roller Hawks today defeated Wenty 101-87 on the strength of an outstanding performance by Australian representative Tristan Knowles. He amassed 47 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in a totally dominant display.

Wenty Leagues WheelKings had a disappointing outing against the West Sydney Razorbacks this afternoon, suffering a 35 point loss. They now face the Roller Hawks tomorrow morning who are fresh from beating the Razorbacks by 22 on Friday night!

The WheelKings have a tough double this weekend, firstly facing a rematch against the West Sydney Razorbacks at Bankstown Basketball Stadium on Saturday (7th June) at 3pm, then taking on the Wollongong Highlube Roller Hawks at home on Sunday at 11am.

WheelKings and Australian women's coach Gerry Hewson celebrated his 50th birthday today. But there won't be a big party for him on Australian soil just yet as he's with his undefeated Gliders at the 2008 Joseph F. Lyttle World Basketball Challenge.

Sunday, 25th May - WheelKings 96 defeat Adelaide Thunder 33 at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre

In their second match of the weekend, the Wenty Leagues WheelKings dominated the Mortgage Choice Adelaide Thunder. The previous day's loss to the Razorbacks was forgotten as the WheelKings took charge from the opening tip.

Saturday, 24th May - WheelKings 62 lose to West Sydney 70 at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre

The Wenty Leagues WheelKings opened their 2008 NWBL campaign on Saturday with a narrow loss to the West Sydney Razorbacks. However, the closeness of the final margin hides the tremendous effort of the WheelKings in fighting back from a 20 point first quarter deficit.

Well the last few weeks have been busy as usual. The normal 4-5 o’clock siesta and then training every day. We've still been playing well and have been successful in the league. We are currently 16-2 and we came second in the Copa del Rey (Cup of the Kings). This is the top eight teams in the Spanish league.
