Coach Profile

Mark Wright

Mark Wright joins the Dandenong Rangers ahead of the 2010/11 season with a great deal of coaching experience.

Having successfully helmed the Rangers previously, between 1998 and 2002, he rejoins the club as they look to rebuild upon their disappointing 2009/10 season, finishing eighth with just six wins for the season.

In his time with Dandenong, Wright won back-to-back Coach of the Year awards in the 1999/00 and 2000/01 seasons, leading the team to a Preliminary final and then a semi-final before Wright departed the club.

Wright moved on to coach in the NBL from 2002 with the Victorian Giants before the team ceased competition in the League.

Wright, along with Assistant Coach Cheryl Chambers is looking to have an immediate impact on the club, with the goal of returning Dandenong to WNBL finals basketball.
