Olaf Lange

In his WNBL debut season, revered and respected German coach Olaf Lange joins the Logan Thunder as head coach for the 2010/11 season.

Olaf brings a great deal of international experience to the program. The 38 year-old has been coaching at the senior level for over 20 years. In that time, he has been both an assistant and head coach of the German Women's national team, an assistant to the men's German national team and was head coach of Ros Casares Valencia in the Spanish League, leading the team all the way to the 2004 Spanish Supercup title.

In 2005 he became Assistant Head Coach at Liberty University, an American NCAA Division 1 school, and it was a position he held for three seasons before moving to the WNBA where he was made Assistant Coach of the San Antonio Silver Stars.

In 2009, Olaf was given the task of developing superstar track athlete Marion Jones in preparation of her return to the sport. He was made Associate Head Coach of the Silver Stars in 2010 before taking on his current role with the Thunder.
