It's just 2 weeks to the biggest, baddest, funnest poker night in WheelKings history. Okay, it's the first time we've run this but we're sure you'll all want to make it an annual event after you've had a great night and taken home some nice prizes. You don't even need to be an experienced Texas Hold'em poker player as there are plenty of people on hand to guide you. Anyone can win it.

 

The night is a joint effort between Hospitality Management students from University of Western Sydney (Blacktown Campus), the WheelKings, Wenty Leagues Club and the Australian Poker League. All proceeds go to the WheelKings as we've gone the extra distance in fundraising this year to again bring in Bill Latham from Queensland but also an exciting new import, Great Britain's triple-Paralympian Jon Pollock. This could be the strongest WheelKings team in a decade and it certainly has a shot at the championship.

 

Prizes on the night include a ticket into the prestigious Wild Turkey $500,000 Grand Slam tournament at Crown Casino, Samsung LCD tv, Xbox360 and games, poker table, chip sets, and gift packs from ToniZone, Reckitt Benckiser and Bigpond.

Trophies and prizes will also be presented to the student champion and WheelKings champion.

All participants will receive 2 season passes to all 6 WheelKings NWBL home games.

 

Additional details:

- pay on the night ($30) - 6.30 registration, start 7.30, finish around 11.30pm for the final 8

- players are placed randomly at one of the 25 tables (8 players per table)

- players can buy extra chips or buy back in if they're eliminated for $30 a time

- a 'how to play' video will be shown before the start
