WheelKings feature on ABC News

Sydney Uni WheelKings and the Wollongong Roller Hawks were filmed by an ABC News crew on Sunday in Darwin. Here is the link to the online footage and supporting comments on the weekend from Renee Narcis of Basketball Australia who did a great job of organising the weekend at our end:
Good Afternoon,
Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the weekend up in Darwin with our games between Wollongong and Sydney Uni.
On Friday we had Gerry Hewson, CJ Grogan, Melanie Hall and Kylie Gauci participate in a school talk at Darwin High School with the APC. The talk was part of the PEP Program but focused mainly on Wheelchair Basketball and their experiences.
The games as a whole went well with a decent audience for a small city. We had participants in the local wheelchair basketball competition play a curtain raiser game on the Saturday evening and two local girls schools play the curtain raiser on the Sunday.
On the Sunday we also had a bit of media turn up from NT News and ABC. ABC ran a segment on it on the news last night and I have attached a link below. The video is not great quality but trying to get a better version to put up on the website.

We had a lot of positive feedback from NT Government, Basketball NT and APC that they would like to run it again up there and I believe we learnt a lot from this first round to continue to improve the event if we have another opportunity.
