The Grand River Gargoyles are proud to announce that Benjamin 'Robbo' Roberts has been named as Head Coach for the upcoming 2014 OAFL season.
Hailing from Tasmania, Roberts started playing for the Gargoyles in 2010. Over the years he has provided crucial experience in the backline and been a key player since his arrival. He has also been important for recruitment, luring important players such as fellow tazzies Dylan ‘Grubby’ Grubb and 2012 OAFL leading Goal Kicker Andrew ‘Kerm’ Matthews.
In addition to his playing experience, Roberts brings coaching experience to Grand River. He has been a member of Canada’s National AFL team’s coaching staff since 2011 and is Canada’s current head coach.
We are excited to have him on board and look forward to a new team structure in 2014!
