Originally from the North-Eastern Melbourne suburb of Greensborough (Aus), "Burra" is really a group of friends that have known each other since their schooldays and a little after - that means more than 25 years of seeing the same heads each week.

Over time the "Burra" almost seems to have become a living thing in its own right sometimes referred to as if a person.

Burra" basketball is more about beer in the car park than about sporting prowess. Aged "Burra" bodies running around a basketball court is something to see - we've turned aged competition into an artform where the opponents on the court are a distraction to the competition within our team !!!

Taking on the basketball world is what we think we're doing - in fact we're bringing world basketball back to our standard.
