KINGAROY BASKETBALL REFEREE PATHWAY DEVELOPMENT

Kingaroy Basketball REFEREE PATHWAY Development

KBA has a policy of recruiting and developing local referees through all stages of Basketball Queensland’s qualification requirements. Current or retired players and others interested in becoming referees are encouraged to undertake this challenge as a very rewarding pursuit.  Progression from one level to the next is based on your theory knowledge and practical expertise. The first stage of this Pathway is undertaking the Beginners Referee Course.

Beginner Referee Course: The Beginner Referee Course teaches the basics of refereeing the game – fouls, violations, administration, and mechanics (where to run on the court).  This course will be run by Mr Noel Ernest.  Participation in the Beginners Referees Course is FREE and open to all members of Kingaroy Basketball Association and the community.  Participants will receive a whistle and course notes and must be aged at least 12 or older to participate.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
