Bakers Creek Tigers AFC announced the appointment of Matt Fidler as the Clubs Senior Coach for the 2014 AFL Mackay season.
Fidler comes with a wealth of football experience both as a player and coach that he will use to help guide the recently struggling Tigers on the road to success.more
AFL Mackay recently announced a forum to present the proposed League structure ahead of our upcoming AGMs.
The venue for this forum has been changed to the newly opened Quest on Gordon - Gordon St Mackay. Still to be held on Saturday 2 November at 10.00am.

It's time for Gaelic Football again this Friday. Get down to Zeolla Park, Beaconsfield, for a game of this new brand of footy. Games have been great so far and everyone involved has thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A great game and a great way to keep fit and active in the off season.more
Friday afternoon saw the Primary School 9s Gala Day. Primary school aged children from across the region gathered at Harrup Park to try this brand of AFL. Pioneer’s AFL academy students did a wonderful job helping out for the day and passing on their AFL knowledge. Well done to the kids involved and thank you everyone else who lent a hand on the day.more
Global Grooves multicultural festival was held on Sunday with AFL Mackay making appearance. With over 5000 people attending this event it was a great way to show case and give a taste of AFL to Mackay’s multicultural community. This was a very successful day and we hope to see the outcome from this in our registrations in the next footy season.more
