Bellinger Valley Basketball Association are seeking nominations for Senior Representative Coaches for the 2021 Season Sunshine Conference
OPEN TO ANYONE WHO WISHES TO PARTICIPATE, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ACTIVE BRAVES REPRESENTATIVE TEAM MEMBER.
TEAMS WILL BE DRAFTED ON THE DAY FOR AN ENJOYABLE AND EVENLY-MATCHED COMPETITION
It is such a vital part to our club to ensure we have a committee with volunteers to help our click keep ticking
We ask anyone available to come to our AGM, even just to have an inside on what goes on, to have a say and to even volunteer for a position. (this doesn't necessary mean you have to be on the committee there are plenty of other positions available)

The Bellinger Valley Braves (16s) brought home fantastic results from the John Martin Country Championship Tournament Division 2 held in Newcastle over the long weekend.
Bellinger Valley Basketball Association has started the 2019 representative season in fine form.
On the first weekend in March, the Braves went on a bus trip to the Gold Coast for a pre-season run against Queensland representative teams.
Bellinger Valley Braves Basketball entered men's and women's seniors teams into the pre-season round of the Sunshine Conference at Grafton this weekend.
A massive thank you to all players who attended the 2019 Braves Trials.
Unfortunately there were a few players who we couldn't find a spot for on our teams but we encourage you to not give up, keep working hard and come and trial for our 2020 representative teams.

We will also be using the odd age season as part of our selection process for our 2019 Representative teams...
We are encouraging any child born in 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 that is naturally athletic enthusiastic and willing to learn to come along and try it out, basketball ability is not an essential

Bellinger Braves Basketball would like to thank everyone for there support that you have given towards the multi purpose stadium at Urunga through social media and petitions.
BNSW have the Talented Athlete Program trials coming up towards the end of February/early March. Due to the restructure of the High Performance Program and the alignment with other previously existing basketball development initiatives/programs, they will only be trialling and identifying athletes in the U14 Age Group (Born 2004).
The CHBA Development Officer Blake Kelly will be running High Performance training open to all Representative players in the Coffs Coast region wanting to learn new skills and take their game to the next level
Congratulations to Oshae - he has been at Albury all week for the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup representing NSW.
We are so proud of you Oshae, we are sure you have learnt a lot from the experience and can't wait to see what you can show us this season

Congratulations to both Courtney Smith & Ruby Roddenby who refereed at both State Cup & State Champs. (Shelby Grainger was also selected to referee but could not attend)
The last three Bellinger Valley Braves junior basketball teams left in Basketball NSW State Cup contention travelled down to Sydney last weekend with the under 14 girls drawn to play at Sutherland and the Braves under 18 girls and under 16 boys both playing at Minto Stadium.
BNSW have just announced their new look High Performance Programs (formerly known as NITP), which are available to all representative, state and national players.
Congratulations to all teams and players on their massive achievements for 2016. All 9 teams made the finals weekend at Tamworth, 7 Teams made the Grand Final and 5 teams took out 1st place in the grand final, with 2 games going into over time. It was an absolutely awesome season for Bellinger Valley Braves, and we are ready to go again next year !

2015 saw out the first Warriors Development Program for BVBA, we are excited to announce that our Warriors Program will be returning this year with thanks to our sponsors Clinton Hayward Accounting & Big Country Meats. We will also be joining forces with the Aussie Hoops Program to make it even more exciting ! The Warriors Program is due to start Term 2, watch this space !
Half the Bellinger Braves junior representative basketball teams motored across the mountains for the weekend first round of Northern Junior Basketball League and returned home Sunday afternoon with nothing less than simply outstanding results.
Courtney Smith has been selected to referee at ACJBC - Albury 2016 following on from her selections for State Shield, State Cup, State Championships refereeing.
Well done on your achievements!
They came Runners Up in the Odd Age comp to Newcastle Lakers.
Considering in the final they had 2 injured on the bench and no subs left, the boys did an exceptional job!
And looked super cute in the process!

Fantastic win today for the U14 Bellinger Braves girls team beating the U14 Port Macquarie Dolphins by a small margin 51-42 in a friendly pre-season game. This was a tough game with the Braves only taking the lead in the last quarter. Well done on Port bringing some tough opposition and making the trip....it was a great game to watch!

On behalf of Bellinger Valley Basketball i would like to express how proud I am of our association for the amazing turnout we had today to celebrate Bron's life and to support Greg, Kath & Georgia. We will do everything we can to keep on honouring the amazing woman Bronwyn was and for how much she put into our club.
