Bell Post Hill continued their winning ways with another big win on the weekend, this time over Corio by 83 points.
The Panthers showed why they are the clearly the best defensive side in the competition, holding Corio to just 1.6 (12) for the afternoon.
Despite the lopsided scoreboard, Corio produced some good football in a pleasing effort, especially considering the Devils had a couple of Under-16 players playing in the seniors.
Shaun Lewis was fantastic for Bell Post Hill, kicking six goals, while Adrian Fantella and Tim Barton were also among the best.
For Corio, Barry O’Toole had a great afternoon, while Matthew Wade and Rob Cornwell continued with their good work in defence.
Most of the damage was done in the second term, when Corio conceded seven goals – almost half the goals scored against them the entire game.
Craig Shelley was the lone goal-kicker for the Devils.
