Sunshine is on the hunt for a new coach after Brett Jacobs stepped down from the WRFL side on Saturday.
Jacobs informed the players of his decision after his side’s 49-point loss to Spotswood.
Sunshine president Craig Ryan said Jacobs, who resigned because of work and family commitments, had done an outstanding job at the Kangaroos.
“He came to us as a highly credentialed captain and player. He turned out to be a fantastic coach,’’ Ryan said.
‘‘He’s still keen to be involved around the place, but the size of the job is just too big a commitment.”
