Letter From the President

Following the recent club AGM on 12/10/16 the newly elected Board have been busy developing a 5 year strategic plan, a budget for 2017 and updating the Constitution to be compliant with the new legislation.

During our planning and review process over 140 issues requiring attention have been identified by the Board and are being progressively worked upon through a number of recently formed sub committees.

We are also seeking more information from our members, not only on how we can to improve the club but also how you can help the club to grow and improve.

A number of programs are being developed to improve players, officials, coaches, scorers and volunteers abilities to develop our association.

Positive feedback is always welcome and we ask that you constantly provide feedback on what we can improve. You will notice a number of changes in and around the club as we implement these improvements.

Unfortunately there have been several recent incidents of anti social behaviour and players/parents not acting in accordance with the clubs codes of behaviour or competition rules. None of these have changed and both are readily available. The law in respect to Libel & Slander has also not changed and does encompass the comments you put on Face book and other forms of social media. So please ensure that your comments are carefully considered before you commit them to print.

Having said that the new Board is a group of 8 volunteers committed to positively improving and growing all aspects of this club and with your help and support you will begin to witness a number of positive changes around the club in the coming months. There will be regular updates on how we are progressing and whilst we know that changes can be a little daunting we ask that you give all of them a fair go and do everything you can to assist us in whatever capacity you can.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
