2014 Premiers Moranbah Bulldogs have found their winning ways again, after defeating the Bakers Creek Tigers by 44-points at Etwell Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Round 11 victory saw the Bulldogs snap a 5-game losing streak and move within two games of the top four (taking byes into account).
Inaccuracy in-front of the goals were the Bulldogs biggest enemy in the opening term as the men from the Central Highlands booted 3.6 to the Tigers 2.3 to take a slender 9-point lead into the first break. After the first break both sides came out firing and this time Moranbah were stronger inside their forward fifty.
The Bulldogs kicked 4.1 to the Tigers 2.2 for the second quarter, extending their lead to 20-points at the long change.
After the long break both sides went goal for, with neither side able to break the shackles. It was a case of copy-cat as both teams registered 3.2 for the quarter.
With the margin remaining at 20-points going into the final quarter, the Tigers needed an almighty effort to get over the Moranbah Bulldogs. However, it was the reigning premiers who found the little bit extra and tame the Tigers at Etwell.
The Bulldogs booted 5.2 in the final term to extend the final margin to 44-points with Bakers Creek only able to kick one major for the final quarter.
Final Score: Bakers Creek 8.9 (57) defeated by Moranbah 15.11 (101)
No Best Players or Goal-Kickers were entered by either side.
