2015 Bert Bargeus Medalists
The Bert Bargeus medal is awarded to the High Performance Athlete of the Year (male and female) from SA Country's programs.
The 2015 winners were:
Sarah Elsworthy (Yorke Valley)
Sarah has graduated from SA Country programs following the 2015 U18 National Championships where she was captain and an instrumental member of our silver medal winning team.
Sarah's year began with a trip to Canberra for the Australian Development Camp and has concluded with her involvement in the 2015-16 Adelaide Lightning program.
Congratulations Sarah on a terrific year.
Brad Rathjen (Mount Gamber)
Brad has also graduated from SA Country programs following the 2015 U18 National Championships where he led all scorers for the tournament, highlighted by 38 points against Victoria Metro in round 2. Brad was also 3rd in steals and total free throws for the tournament.
Following the Championships, Brad travelled to China by invitation of Nike and the NBA to attend a training camp and is now part of the Adelaide 36ers Development Squad.
