Tearoa was involved in re-establishing and reviving the Cook Islands Table Tennis Association (CITTA) in 2003 and was elected Secretary until now. Since then he has been associated with Table Tennis as a player, coach, umpire, administrator and a Tournament Organiser.
He continues to organise  the annual Rarotonga domestic table-tennis competitions and the Cook Islands Open Championship held annually. Also assist with the development of Table Tennis in the Cook Islands expanding to the Outer Islands. 
Was part of the Table Tennis squad representing the Cook Islands at the Oceania Championships from 2004 to 2008 which was held every two years and also participated  in the Oceania leg of the ITTF World Junior Circuit events from 2004 - 2008 held annually as a manager, coach and umpire.
Certified as an Oceania Umpire in Geelong 2006 and continued to umpire at any Oceania and International competitions in Oceania. Tearoa was one of the Oceania Umpires at the 2007 South Pacific Games in Samoa.
