HUME CITY BRONCOS 2013 BIG V ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Hume City Broncos are pleased to announce the re-signing of Mens Championship Division Coach Ken Epperson for season 2013. Mark Addison, the State Youth Championship Mens team, has also been re-appointed for next year.

Coaching arrangements for the Hume City womens program are yet to be finalised, with the Club and 2012 incumbent Joe Borg parting company after being unable to agree terms for an extension.

Broncos General Manager Terri Sutton said that the Club was pleased with the progress made in both the mens and womens programs during this year, with its review process highlighting the need for some additional support to those programs to build on 2012’s achievements.

“Our discussions with Ken about these directions were fruitful” Mrs Sutton said, “enabling the Club to progress development issues to a plan that is consistent with our culture and expectations. Regrettably, we were unable to arrive at a similar destination point in our discussions with Joe, whom we thank for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

The Club is also very pleased to announce that former WNBL star and home-grown favourite Sharin Milner will be returning next year to bolster the Lady Broncos. Sharin’s focus will be to mentor the young, talented guards on the team’s roster, she will play limited minutes but will also enrich the program’s preparation to consistently compete at the Championship Division level.

Finally, the Club has moved quickly to re-sign Big V stars Jermaine Maybank and Jamal Brown, who will again anchor the mens push for a finals showing in 2013.

Further announcements will be made as the Club concludes arrangements for its Lady Broncos Head Coaching role, and finalises further player signings.
