After the short break in the Speed Field Days Mallee Football League, each team is raring to go in round 6. Walpeup/Underbool and Ouyen United are still undefeated and should continue to be with the quality of football that they have been playing.
Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers Vs Ouyen United
Both sides have started off with a great season this year. The Tigers played their last game at Beulah against the Blues. Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers were too good for Beulah as they hit the lead from the start. The Tigers had great defence that worked hard all 4 quarters. The Demons have been without a loss and it is because of their excellent forwards. Ouyen United’s Danny O’Bree kicked 5 goals in his last match against Jeparit/Rainbow and 6 goals the week before against Hopetoun. Another stellar performance from O’Bree and support from other team mates should secure a win.
Beulah Vs Hopetoun
Beulah is at home to Hopetoun in this week’s game. Both sides had disappointing losses last week and are hungry for a win. Beulah's last match was against Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers. The Tigers were just too good for the Blues so this week, Beulah will be keen to redeem themselves. Hopetoun had their last match against Walpeup/Underbool. The Devils were unable to get near the Roos. All players worked hard but the Roos were just too good. With the home-game advantage, Beulah should account for Hopetoun this week in what should be a great match.
Walpeup/Underbool Vs Woomelang/Lascelles
We are coming into round 6 and no team is able to knock the Roos off their perch. Woomelang/Lascelles are going to have to work very hard in their game against the Roos if they want the win. Royce Free and Bryce Scott have had their names in the best for the Cats week after week. Walpeup/Underbool continues to be the best in the league week after week. They have a strong forward line that brings them home the win. The Roos’ Kane Munro kicked and outstanding 8 goals for the club last week in their battle against Hopetoun. The Roos works very well together and with the home ground advantage as extra help, the should fly through this weeks game.
