The Dunolly Football Netball Club is extremely privileged to have Wayne 'Woosa' Lanfranchi play his 400th senior game on Saturday 18th June at Deledio Reserve, Dunolly against the Trentham FNC.
The Football story of Wayne Lanfranchi (WOOSA)
Wayne has been at the DFNC for 28 years! Played in 2 grand finals, seen 4 league changes & 3 club jumper changes.
Wayne’s Dad Bernie (Life Member) played for DFNC 1956-1969 playing in 6 grand finals captaining the 1969 winning premiership side.
Wayne’s brothers Mark, Dean & Brendon all played with DFNC.
Under 13’s was played during the ½ time of the seniors.
First Coach (under 16’s) was Colin Jordan
First Seniors Coach was Darrin Hocking.
Wayne played in the 1989 Grand Final of the Juniors but lost to Natte-Bealiba
Wayne went from the Juniors straight to the Seniors at the ripe age of 15.
Played in the 1997 Grand Final but lost to Avoca.

Loddon Valley League
Maryborough and Castlemaine District League
Wayne played Inter-League on many occasions.
Wayne was Influenced and inspired by …………..His Dad, Ron Deledio who was a Reserves Coach, and Maurice Watts who was a Junior Coach. All 3 of these men are huge names in the Dunolly Football Netball Club.
In 2009 Wayne went from the Senior team to the Reserves ….proving he still has some football skill about him!!!!!

2011 has seen Wayne’s 2 children Olivia & Jackson now playing for the DFNC.
Wayne says “While I can still get a kick, I will still enjoy my footy”
The Dunolly FNC will honour Wayne on the day with a banner before the game and an evening in his honour at the club where his family, friends and supporters will join him for a meal and some presentations.
