From Dunolly FNC Website.
The Dunolly FNC has taken positive steps on its journey into season 2012 with the club securing the highly credentialed Tony Bellenger as senior coach for next season.
Bellenger was being hunted by several Victorian country clubs but chose to sign with the Eagles on Monday.
Bellenger stated that Dunolly was the first club to give him a shot at coaching over ten years ago and he was pleased to be back at Deledio reserve.
Having a Wife and young children and living close to the town also swayed the former Berry Powell medallist and interleague coach back to his old club.
Bellenger was looking forward to getting to work straight away for next year.
He told this reporter that he would be giving 130% effort to his role at Dunolly and would start by contacting every current senior and reserves player to shore up their support before hopefully bringing a couple of key recruits to add to the side and give the football sides every chance of having a successful year.
In an added positive for the club, Bellenger’s wife Brooke indicated that she would be keen to play netball with the Eagles next year also. Brooke is, like her husband a highly decorated sportsperson and an extremely talented and successful netballer in her own right.
The Dunolly FNC welcome Tony and Brooke back to the Dunolly FNC and we are absolutely rapt to have such quality people on board for 2012 and hopefully beyond.
In other club news, the AGM will be held at Dunolly social rooms on Tuesday the 25th of October at 7.30pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend and get on board for next year.
The club is too important to let dwindle so we urge anyone with an interest in the club to come along and put up their hand to help shape our destiny which we see as being extremely positive. The more people we get on board, the lighter the load for everyone and the more positive the benefits can be for the club and for the community.
