The Bendigo Bank Maryborough & Castlemaine District FNL are looking to field a Youth Girls (13 to 18 year old girls) side in the Ballarat Football Netball League’s Youth Girls competition for 2014, and Expressions of interest are called for players for this team.
The Ballarat FNL Youth Girls competition was established in 2011 with four teams, and has grown to a 10 team competition in 2013. The competition was established to get girls involved in football at a competitive level, have fun and develop their skills. The competition also provides a talent identification pathway in the AFL Goldfields region that has never existed in the past.
Players of all abilities are welcome and encouraged, as girls will be playing against players of similar age and ability.
Youth Girls football is one of the fastest-growing football segments in the region, and this is your chance to be a part of MCDFNL history in the first-ever Youth Girls team from the Maryborough & Castlemaine area.
The MCDFNL will be looking to hold an information session in late February to give all interested players and their parents more details about Youth Girls football and the commitment involved, and we will contact those who register their interest now as a priority with the details of this session.
Check out the below flyer for more information, then register your interest in playing Youth Girls football in 2014, please contact by contacting MCDFNL Operations Manager Scott Carey on (03) 5333 1977 or scott@aflgoldfields.com.au
