THE GDFL has trimmed its initial training squad down to 30 just over a fortnight out from its Interleague clash with Maryborough-Castlemaine.
North Geelong and Bell Post Hill’s continued dominance of the competition is reflected, with the Magpies and Panthers supplying 12 players.
Anakie has four players in the mix, while the much-improved Inverleigh and Werribee Centrals have three apiece.
Daryl Bisset has taken over from Paul Price as coach of the Raiders who suffered a 61-point loss to North Central last year.
That loss has seen the GDFL fall in the rankings to 21st.
The clash with the MCDFL will be played at Princes Park in Maryborough on May 24.
