Dunolly Football Netball Club is excited to announce that West Coast Eagles premiership player Daniel Kerr will play a one-off game with the club in June this year in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League.
Kerr played 220 games with West Coast. He played in the 2006 premiership, is an All Australian and is a life member of the club.
He will play on Saturday, June 3 in the match against Maldon.
“This will be a very big day for the club,” Dunolly Football Netball Club secretary Marion Da Costa says.
“We’re very excited to welcome Daniel to the club.”
The club approached Kerr’s management and inquired about his availability to play and generate positive interest for the club. The stars aligned and Dunolly will benefit for having him part of the team against the Bombers.
“We are working hard to generate a positive culture around the club and we feel that Daniel’s appearance will bring more people through the gates and see all the hard work that is going towards making the Eagles a strong club in the MCDFNL” Da Costa says.
“It’s great to see Dunolly thinking outside the square to raise funds,” MCDFNL Operations Manager Shane Anwyl says.
“We wish them all the best.”
Dunolly will host its Sponsor’s Day to coincide with this fixture. There will be a special lunch for the sponsors, Auskick played during the day and other great activities.
