An exciting time to be involved with Basketball in Millicent and the surrounding districts!

The Millicent and District International Basketball Association is about to launch the project that will change the way our members and their families participate and view Basketball in Millicent’s Peter Seebohm stadium.  

The Association’s committee believe our complex is already a great place to play as it is always well maintained and presented. However, the feeling is that it can be better and more inviting especially to non-players by adding a viewing deck and clubroom.

The planned addition would allow our many highly valued regional participants, their families and locals to feel comfortable and at home whilst they are at the stadium. The new facility will be a social meeting place, allow easy access, great viewing for all spectators, visitors and members, especially the elderly and disabled whilst being in an environment that is quieter and climatically controlled. All you will need to do is turn your chair around or walk from one side to the other to view the action.  

At this point of the planning we have had preliminary talks with local council representatives regarding the project and we have engaged an architect to draw up both structural and engineered plans. We are also exploring options for funding through Federal, State and Local Government grants.  

The estimated final project cost will be close to $600,000, but before we can get to that there will be significant fees associated with the preliminary work such as plans etc.
