Friday Night
Game 1(U 18) – Benque Ealges(1 – 3) will be going up against Rising Stars(3 – 2), as they fight for the #2 seed in this division. If the playoffs were to start today, this would be the #2 and #3 match up in this division. A win for Benque Eagles would ensure that they would not have to face the undefeated Golden Boys in the semi-finals, while a win for Rising Stars would keep them apace for the #1 seed.
Game 2(O35) - The defending Over 35 Champs, Belmopan(2 - 2) is sporting a 2 game winning streak, after starting the season 0 - 2. However, they will now face Hydro(2 - 1), who they defeated 2 weeks ago, 50 - 40. Sitting at the #1 spot, Belmopan must win if they want to have a shot at keeping the #1 seed going into the playoffs. With a win, Hydro will jump into the #1 position. However, the sub plot to this game is that the point guards for both teams, Kevin Siroki and Clifford King, are both serving a 1 game suspension, due to a minor scuffle from their last outing.
Saturday Night
Game 1(U 21) – Belmopan Trojans(1 – 2) will open the night against Hydro(5 – 1). Hydro must win this game in order to have a shot of going into the playoffs with the #1 seed, while Trojans(1 – 2) desperately needs a win to give them a chance to lock up the final playoff spot.
Game 2(O-35) – Hydro(2 – 1) defeated Golden Eagles(1 – 2) in their first encounter, so this game will be very intense, as the 4 teams in this division will be fighting for playoff positioning. If Golden Eagles is able to take revenge and win this game, all 4 teams in the Over 35 division will be locked into a tie, with all teams having a 2 – 2 record. With a loss, Golden Eagles will remain in the cellar, with only 1 victory in the season, while Hydro can secure the #1 seed if they win out the remainder of their games.
Game 3(Srs.) – Hydro E-3(5 – 0) has already clinched the #1 seed going into the playoffs, which means that the game is much more important for BNE Oilers(2 – 2). With BNE Oilers having a 2 – 2 record, they are presently at the 5th position, without a playoff spot. A win will propel them to the #2 seed, while a loss would guarantee a spot for Western Warriors(3 – 2).
