NEWS: FFV State Coaching Conference to be held in December at Vic Uni

FOOTBALL Federation Victoria (FFV) will stage this year’s State Federation Coaching Conference at the Footscray campus of Victoria University with a festive spirit, with the two day gathering to be held on the weekend prior to Christmas.

Commencing at 9:00am on Saturday 17th December and concluding just after midday the following day, the State Coaching Conference is an event designed as one of the means for advanced coaches to meet the required four (4) year revalidation requirements in order to keep their accreditation valid and current. All State Member Federations will run (or jointly run) a State Coaching Conference each year.

The event will equate to 50 points (for those who attend the first day) towards a coaches revalidation requirements, and if the State Member Federation chooses to run a second day, the workshops that are run and attended will further add towards the revalidation requirements (must attend 8 workshops for 50 points).

“Even though the course is designed to benefit advanced coaches (i.e. ‘C’ level or higher) with their revalidation requirements, all local Geelong region based coaches of every level are strongly encouraged to attend this event,” said Foddy Kyprian, the FFV Zone Development officer for the wider Geelong region.

“What they hear and experience at the Conference will benefit every type of coach, from Grassroots level right up to Senior level instructors.”

The Day 2 agenda includes practical sessions. Attendance at both days is required to receive the 50 coaching accreditation points.

The total cost of the weekend is $130. If you require lunch, the cost will be a further $20 which you will be required to pre-order. Morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided. To all Conference participants.
