NEWS: Leisure Networks to organise Child Safe Standards' seminar for Geelong's sporting clubs

LEISURE NETWORKS, in conjunction with the City of Greater Geelong, will be staging a special Child Safe Standards’ Club Seminar for local sporting clubs in late August at the Deakin Cats Education Centre at Simonds Stadium.

To be held on Wednesday 30th August from 6:00-8:30pm, the session will provide information to assist sporting and community clubs understand the requirements of each of the child safe standards, including examples of measures they can put in place and a self-assessment tool.

The keynote speaker on the night will be Jim Rutherford, the Principal of renowned local law firm Harwood/Andrews.

There will also be a discussion panel, which will include Michael King, Innovation and Business Development Lead from Leisure Networks, James Lagoudakis, a Recreation Liaison Officer from the City of Greater Geelong’s Community and Recreation Department, as well as representatives from various state sporting bodies.
