NEWS: Nth Geelong FC Head Coach Luciano Trani to speak at AFCAT Coaches’ Seminar at Veneto Club

NORTH Geelong Warriors Head Coach Luciano Trani will feature amongst a star studded cast of renowned coaches who will speak at Association of Football Coaches and Trainers (AFCAT) Coaching Seminar at the Bulleen Veneto Club this coming Sunday.

The Seminar will also double as AFCAT’s 5th year anniversary event and is open to all coaches with entry fees set at $10 for AFCAT members and $25 for non members.

The format for the day will involve:

- Practical Sessions covering each of the topics

- Theory sessions covering each of the topics

- Question and Answer session

- General football discussion involving a panel of coaches

- Networking opportunities

Luciano Trani (pictured), who was only recently appointed at the helm of the Warriors’ NPL2 side, will provide an interesting insight into his visit to Africa as part of his assignment in preparing a scout’s report for the Socceroos’ coaching staff.

He will also present a practical session based on preparing your team with a ‘defensive organisation against a high press’.

FFV’s Zone Development Officer for the local Wimmera/South Region, Foddy Kyprian, is urging as many Geelong coaches as possible to attend the seminar.

“I attended the FFV coaches’ conference last weekend in Melbourne and it was announced that AFCAT is set to form an official relationship with Football Federation Australia,” he said.

“As part of that deal, they were allowed to advertise this event and I’m encouraging as many Geelong region coaches to attend. And with Luc presenting, there will also be that little bit of a local flavour as well,” Kyprian added.
