The league champion of the Division 1 competition Geelong Rangers will face off against the team that finished second, Deakin Ducks.

It looks to be a tough assignment for Deakin, as Rangers finished the season 11 points clear of the Ducks.

The Ducks are the only team to have beaten Rangers this season, however out of the three games the teams have played against each other this season, Rangers were triumphant in the other two match-ups.

Rangers convincingly took out the regular season, finishing with a total of 41 points and a 79-goal difference while Deakin finished with 30 points and a goal difference of 22.

Rangers lost just one game and drew two, leaving them with a total of 13 wins for the season while the Ducks ended the season with 2 losses, 6 draws and 8 wins.

In the curtain raiser, the Women’s Division 2 Grand Final will see league champions Lara United pitted against the second placed Surfside Waves.

At the end of the season, just two points separated United and Surfside, with Lara finishing top of the table on 40 points while Surfside finished closely behind with 38 points.

Of the two times Lara and Deakin have faced each other this season, United has the upper hand having won both games.
