Cobram Soccer Club's proposed meeting between Goulburn North East Football Association and the clubs never got off the ground.

The club pulled Monday night's meeting before the weekend after learning the GNEFA had already planned to host a similar meeting later this month.

The meeting was intended to bring clubs and league together to voice opinions over administrative issues about how the competition was run.

GNEFA president Frank Trimboli last week said it would not sanction the meeting, while at least one other club indicated it was not going to attend.

Club secretary Teresa Nicosia denied the meeting was cancelled because of pressure from the league or other clubs.

``We just decided that it was in the best interests to cancel it. The Goulburn North East is having its own meeting, so it's best if we just attend that one,'' she said.
