Former City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Geoff Dobson is the club’s interim chairman and he said a senior coach and further details about the club would be unveiled at a press conference on Monday.

The club’s technical director will also be unveiled on Monday.

Council’s leisure services, recreation and park manager Brendan Gosstray told the News on January 21 that talks about the position had begun with Melvyn Wilkes, an ex-coach with English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, although no-one confirmed he had taken the job.

In a written statement, FFV said the structure of the competition would be announced sometime next week, with fixtures to be released on February 26 and NPL Rules of Competition on Tuesday, March 4. The new club has until 5 pm on February 19 to return a signed license agreement to FFV.
