The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of Tahni Geel for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

The 5’9 forward has been a long-term Wolfpack player throughout her WABL and SBL semi-professional career. Before Tahni joined the women’s SBL team in 2018, Tahni played 4 years in the Basketball WA’s Smarter than Smoking State Championships. Tahni has grown her basketball career from WABL to NBL1, we are looking forward to seeing what Tahni can bring to the 2021 season.

Tahni spoke to the Joondalup Wolves on her thoughts about re-signing for 2021 season.

“I am really happy to re-sign with the Wolves for the upcoming 2021 season. We have a great bunch of girls and I look forward to leaning and developing with them throughout the season. I am very lucky to be a part of a knowledgeable group of coaches. Being a part of the NBL1 West will be an exciting challenge.”

Joondalup Wolves Women’s Head Coach Charles Nix shared his thoughts on Tahni re-signing for the NBL1 West season.

“Tahni is a few years into the program and has a first step that is hard to match, what I’m seeing with Tahni is that she is working on other areas of her game that will help her be a player at this level for a long time. When Tahni is locked in and switched she can be a defensive juggernaut, she’s fast and strong and a really good size for a guard. The fact that she can pinch at a post position defensively gives us some diversity on defence.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing what steps Tahni takes this year.” Added Nixy.

Tahni will be joining Kayla Steindl, Nes’eya Williams, Izzy Miotti, Chelsea Belcher, Amy Kidner, Georgia Denehey, Amber Land, Alix Hayward, Tia Ucich, Olivia Basso, Eleanor Hartill, Laniesha Paddon and Aryaan Horne on the Wolves Women’s roster in 2021.
