The Sandgate Hawks AFC Junior Sub-Committee is currently looking for expressions of interest from persons wishing to coach teams in the U11, U12, U13, U14, U15 and U17 Youth Boys and U11, U13, U15 and U17 Youth Girls age groups for Season 2016. We are also looking for persons to take on roles as Skills Development Coaches for both our Junior Rules and Youth age groups.
We seek to provide the highest quality coaching for all Sandgate Hawks Junior AFC players, and it is with this goal in mind we are seeking your assistance to find the best people available for these coaching, assistant coaching and specialised coaching roles.
If you have an interest in coaching, or know someone who has something to offer, please fill out an application form, and provide additional information as per Interview guidelines, and return it no later than COB Friday 2nd October 2015. All applicants will be advised of dates for Interviews shortly after. All enquiries can be forwarded confidentially to the Junior Football Operations Coordinator via the email address below.
As per AFL Policy, all Coaches must have at least a Level 1 (Youth) accreditation at the time of application or complete the appropriate accreditation course in 2016, when available. You will also need to have a current "Working with Children" Positive Notice, or apply for one.
Prospective Coaches (and assistants) must be willing to work within the club’s guidelines (AFL Coaches Code of Conduct, the Club’s Guiding Principles for Coaches, and Coaches Charter of Behaviour) and will report to the Football Operations Coordinator/Coaching Coordinator of the Sandgate Hawks Junior AFC.
All Age Group Coaches (if there is more than one side per age group) are required to demonstrate the ability to work with other coaches within that age group. All applicants will need to show the ability to develop all players in their group (must be able to provide detailed written training programs, assessment criteria, etc).
Successful applicants are reminded that, even though they are Volunteers, they may be removed from their position at anytime by the Committee, if there are any breaches of the club’s and/or the AFL’s "Codes of Conduct" , as these issues are taken very seriously, and the interests of the players will take priority over any personal interests or agendas.
Forms and other relevant documents can be found on the Club’s website: http://sandgatejuniors.aflq.com.au
Please return Completed Forms (and supporting documents) to the Junior Football Operations Coordinator via email (ian.reddan4@gmail.com) or by Post to:
