Game-1 semis victory for Batang Sanna & One Family
One Family’s Sajid Padilla flies swiftly towards the basket but still got a charging foul.

DOHA: Team Batang Sanna controlled the entire game that was tight from start to finish to overwhelm QDVC LRT, 83-80, in game one of the semifinals of Power Horse Energy Drink Cup 2013 of Pinoy Basketball of Qatar (PIBAQ) at Al Gharafa Training Gym over the weekend, presented by McDonald's Qatar and powered by Travelex Worldwide Money.
Reliable Jason Macatunggal was unstoppable with 23 points and nine boards to lift his team to victory even as other team mates fielded in the hard court also contributed well in baskets to maintain their dominance against the comebacks of QDVC squad.
QDVC tried to close the gap with just 2 points deficit from Batang Sanna, 77-75, 3:17 minutes left in the last quarter after Michael Batilante converted two free throws from a foul by Jerson Sales.
The game plan of Batang Sanna coach Bhong Caballero keep them to control the grip of the game amid several attempts by their opponent to come closer within a tight ballgame.
QDVC standout Kemuel Proceso never minded the foot strain he got early in the first quarter to continue playing until the final buzzer and chipped in 16 points.
In other games, One Family/Office System lorded it over its opponent TCC Stars-Botak with a big 14-point win , 87-73, to also capture their first semifinal victory.
TCC Stars-Botak coach Norman Maguinao could not find a solution to stop the rally of One Family’s point guards Michael Olino who scored 24 points and Sajid Padilla with 14 points.
