PASSING OF PAST FALCONIAN RICHARD (DICK) WARD ON FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST 2015
It is with much sadness that we note the passing of one of our most ardent supporters and past Falconian, Richard (Dick) Ward the father of playing life member and premiership player Stuart Ward. Dick passed away on Friday 28th August after an enduring and stoic battle. Dick would have turned 73 next New Year's Eve. The club passes on its most sincere condolences to his wife Di and all his family.
Dick has been a great worker and supporter for the club over many years and would not miss a game until he was not physically up to it. Dick was also known as the owner and operator of Kip McGrath Tutoring in Maroonday highway, a business that was a long time sponsor of the club until Dick sold it and retired. He was also a long time member and committeman of both the club and the coterie group the Falconians. Dick will be missed by all including his little mate Coco.
A service to celebrate his life was held on Friday September 4 in the Federation Chapel at Lilydale Memorial Park 128 Victoria Road Lilydale at 2.15pm.
