Swans recruiting Coaches for 2013 season

The Ottawa Swans Australian Football Club is now accepting applications for the positions of:
 
  • Head Coach (Men's)
  • Assistant Coach (Men's)
  • Assistant Coach (Women's)
Candidates should consult the position descriptions below for more information. Interested candidates should provide any relevant credentials, past experience playing/coaching and ideas for the upcoming season to swanspresident@gmail.com . Deadline for submission is December 1, 2013.
 
 
Head Coach: 
 
The Ottawa Swans Australian Football Club is currently recruiting a senior men's coach for the 2013 season.  We are looking for a self motivated individual with previous coaching experience who will be responsible for all training activities (preseason and in season), team selection, communication to the playing group and club executive and coaching equipment.  Other duties may include administrative tasks (organising training facilities, player registration, logisitcs for away games, etc).  Applicants with a backgroud in Australian rules football is preferred, but not required. 
 
 
Assistant Coach:

The Ottawa Swans Australian Football Club is actively recruiting applicants for the positions of Assistant Coach-Men and Assistant Coach-Women for the upcoming 2013 season. The Club practices twice per week over the course of 5 months, April to August, and begins regular season games in early May.

Duties include:

  • From time-to-time organize and run practices through the week
  • Work with new and developing players to improve skills
  • Assist the Head Coach with general management of the team
