Chris Drum was appointed as playing coach.The Blues were in a new competition called AFL Canberra Regional Grade,which comprised of only six teams,which was a bit of a disaster with both Canberra Clubs Ainslie and Tugganerong forfeited matches at Clarke Oval
We Finished the home and away season in second spot.Goulburn beat us in the major semi final. In the Preliminary final,we broke a 50 year drought as we hosted the Cooma Cats ,the Blues first final at home since 1965. We Duly smashed the Cats by 73 Points ,which saw us against Goulburn in the grand final at Gungahlin
The Blues were never in the hunt in the decider,thrashed by 75 pts,which sadly created an unwanted record for the Blues,our biggest defeat in a grand final
On the June Long weekend,Joel Pearson ,Luke Salter and Phil Bird represented AFL Canberra against the Saphire Coast at Gunghalin Enclosed Oval . Afl Canberra was convincing winners and Joel Pearson was voted best on ground
Joel Pearson played his 100th match against Cooma in early August, Club Champion Stephen Chant played his 150th match for the Club in the Grand Final
The Blues Presentation night was held at the Ex-Services Club attended by 80 members and guests, Blues Captain Phil Bird was awared Best & Fairest ,while 16 year old Jake Turnerwas awarded our best player in the Finals. The Blues Continued with the Wall Of Fame inducting the Fourth Person
Fourth Wall of Fame Inductee:Rod Knagge - Contributed over 30 Years service with the Blues. Played 221 First Grade matches, Dual Premiership player. Secretary for 15 yeras and President for six years. He Also contributed to numerous working beesat the Club. He is a sponsor, former goal umpire and publicity officer.
