The Seniors won an entertaining match at Princes Park against pretty good opposition for Discos 350th game. After a slow start we began to get our game going and although behind at half time we did run away in the last quarter. It was a fitting win for Disco's 350th game.
It was a game that we had to win at home to get the season going plus it was important to win for Disco. Everything was set up - a big lunch crowd to hear Martin Pakula, Discos big game, undefeated opposion and the need for a win. However it was Ajax who started well with the use of a breeze and were still ahead at half time by 11 points. However the 3rd and final quarters were all Haileybury where we kicked 72 points to 34 to run out 27 point winners. Meehan was strong kicking 8 goals and backed up by Captain Weekes who was let loose out of the backline to kick 3. Best players apart from Meehan and Weekes were Ollie Armstrong, Hammer, Rys and Stowey.

The reserves were well beaten on the day.
The 3rds could not muster enough players to make the trip out to Keilor Park and had to forfeit.
The Under 19s had a late change in opposition and venue with not enough time to make the necessary arrangements so the game was postponed to be played at a later date.
The Haileybury 1st XVIII were competitive all day but beaten by St Kevins at St Kevins 9.4.58 to 15.13.103
